Meet Our Board

I began my home school journey in 2012 when my oldest child was in first grade. My favorite authors are Jane Austen and Eric Carle. My favorite artists are Georgia Okeeffe and Norman Rockwell. I love the outdoors, playing board games, and drinking hot chocolate! 

Hello.  I'm Wendy, the mother of three teenagers.  Covid helped me take the plunge to home school, which has been a great educational journey for our family - me included.  I like walking, hiking, occasionally jogging, movies, books and being with family.  I try to fit in supporting my kids, church, 4-H, serving where the Lord needs me and my job.  FSA has provided my kids with peers who have become their dearest friends and mentors who have challenged my kids beyond what I thought they could or would accept.  

I am a 1st grade teacher turned home-schooler. I love diving into history with classic literature, making connections, and playing silly games in class! Our family has been homeschooling since 2020. The world is our classroom and we love exploring all the amazing things God has given us. I love nature, working with kids and taking naps.

The Lord made it clear that homeschooling needed to be a part of our life and mission long before we started having kids in 2016. We now have two beautiful daughters and suspect there's a boy coming to our family sometime next summer. I joined FSA to provide more social opportunities for my kids, but discovered the greatest benefit is for me. I love this incredible group of moms who learn and grow together and support each other. I'm excited to have the opportunity now to share that joy with other moms!

Hey there!  Our family has been homeschooling since 2007!  It has been a great journey.  One of my passions is mentoring youth and Moms in the joy of learning through leadership education.  I love helping them see that there in a God given plan for each of us, and helping them discover their mission in life!   I am the mother of seven kids, a grandma to one, soon to be two!  Our family also enjoys living on our hobby farm and participating in 4-H and rodeo.  My kids are also active in sports at the local high school!
